Hello Buoys

This banner originally sited at the entrance to Trinity Buoy Wharf is a play on the well-known ‘Hello Boys’ wonderbra advert. It is both a response to the objectification of women in the media and at the same time refers to the history of Trinity Buoy Wharf where buoys, chains and ropes for shipping were manufactured. The digital alterations to my hair and features in the photograph were made with reference to Cindy Sherman’s work.
