Site-Specific Installation

Site-Specific Installation is a banner sign that uses the College’s typeface to mark its location. Hal Foster, in the Art-Architecture Complex, considers site specific art, stating that it was first embraced as a way to avoid the arbitrary, but has now become arbitrary in its own way. It is a comic intervention, in what to me has sometimes felt like a stark somewhat lifeless, humourless building, using the language of the institution and the system to make an anti-notice.
